Dermal Fillers

What are dermal fillers?

Dermal fillers are smooth, gel-like injectables made with hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body that helps keep skin hydrated, plump, and youthful. Over time, our natural levels of hyaluronic acid and collagen decrease, leading to loss of volume, sagging, and the development of fine lines, wrinkles, or folds. Dermal fillers restore that lost volume, add structure, and smooth away signs of aging, helping you look refreshed and rejuvenated.

Fillers can be used to enhance and contour many areas of the face and body. Common treatments include plumping the lips, lifting and defining the cheeks, softening lines around the mouth, and sculpting the jawline for a more balanced profile. Results are natural-looking, long-lasting, and tailored to your unique features and goals. With minimal downtime and instant improvements, dermal fillers are one of the most popular options for those wanting to restore a youthful appearance or refine their facial contours.

What are dermal fillers?

Dermal fillers are gel-like injectables, most often made of hyaluronic acid, that restore lost volume, smooth lines and wrinkles, and enhance facial contours for a refreshed, youthful look.

How do dermal fillers work?

They add structure and hydration beneath the skin, filling in lines or hollows and enhancing natural features like lips, cheeks, and jawlines.

What is the difference between fillers and Botox/Dysport?

Neurotoxins (like Botox, Dysport, or Daxxify) relax the muscles that cause wrinkles, while dermal fillers add volume and structure to smooth, lift, and contour. Many clients combine the two treatments for even better results.

How long do fillers last?

Most dermal fillers last between 6-24 months, depending on the product used, the area treated, and your body’s natural metabolism.

Will I look “overfilled”?

Not when performed by a skilled injector. Our approach is to enhance your natural features with subtle, balanced results - never overdone. We want you to look like you, just refreshed.

How soon will I see results?

The results are immediate! You’ll notice added volume and smoother contours right after treatment, with full results once any swelling subsides.

Do dermal fillers hurt?

Most clients describe only mild discomfort. Fillers contain lidocaine (a numbing agent), and we can apply a topical numbing cream to ensure comfort. Dental blocks are also available for lip filler treatments.

Is there any downtime?

There’s little to no downtime. Some clients may experience mild swelling, redness, or bruising at the injection site, which usually resolves within a few days. Full healing can be expected within 2 weeks.

Are dermal fillers safe?

Yes. Hyaluronic acid fillers are FDA-approved and have been safely used for years. Since hyaluronic acid is naturally found in the body, it is well-tolerated.

Can dermal fillers be reversed?

Yes. If needed, hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase, giving you peace of mind and flexibility.

Who is a good candidate for fillers?

Anyone looking to restore lost volume, smooth wrinkles, or enhance facial features may be a candidate. We’ll evaluate your goals and health history during your consultation.

How long does a filler appointment take?

Most treatments take 45-60 minutes, depending on the areas being treated.

Can I combine fillers with other treatments?

Absolutely. Fillers are often combined with neurotoxins (like Botox or Dysport), skin treatments, or lasers for a comprehensive rejuvenation plan.

What should I avoid after filler treatment?

We recommend avoiding strenuous exercise, alcohol, and excessive heat (like saunas) for the first 24-48 hours to minimize swelling or bruising.

How do I know how much filler I’ll need?

Everyone is different! The amount depends on your unique features, concerns, and goals. Your provider will create a customized plan during your consultation.
